Experienced Banker to Drive Growth and Innovation

Mumbai, August 16, 2024:

Indian private lender Yes Bank has appointed veteran banker Sumit Bali as the head of its retail business and collections, effective immediately.

Bali brings over 25 years of experience in retail banking, having held leadership positions at several leading banks in India. Most recently, he was the head of retail banking at Axis Bank.

At Yes Bank, Bali will be responsible for driving the bank's retail banking strategy, including product development, customer acquisition, and branch expansion.

Growth and Innovation in Retail Banking

Yes Bank is looking to expand its retail banking business as it comes out of a period of restructuring.

Bali's appointment is seen as a sign of the bank's commitment to growing its retail business.

He is expected to bring his expertise in product development and customer service to Yes Bank.

About Sumit Bali

Sumit Bali has a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

He began his career in banking at Citibank in 1997.

He has also worked at HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank before joining Axis Bank in 2016.
